FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What's a private cruise?

A private cruise is just that - you and your chosen passengers are the only ones on the cruise (besides the captain!) All of our cruises are currently private cruises. So, if you are a family of 4 and you book a Sandbar Cruise or a Sunset Cruise, you'll be the only passengers aboard. Reservations are required for all cruises. Our live booking calendar is on the right side of this page.

Do you charge for infants or toddlers?

The Coast Guard limits us to 6 passengers, regardless of the passenger age, so everyone on board counts towards that limit.  Please don't ask us to put our business in jeopardy by bringing more than 6 passengers.

Does the fare include a gratuity for the crew?

Fares don't include a gratuity for the crew.  If you enjoyed your cruise, and want to let the crew know that by tipping, it's always appreciated!

Can I bring "adult beverages"

Yes, you can!  Feel free to bring any food and drinks you'd like.  One caveat:  glass is not a good idea around the water.  Aluminum cans or paper containers are a better choice.  We provide ice and water. We prefer you don't drink red wine in unlidded containers, as it stains.

What about the weather?

Welcome to Florida!  Our captain is US Coast Guard master licensed, and an experienced local guide.  Your enjoyment and safety is our priority.  We are continually checking tides, winds and other conditions that could affect the area.  In the event we need to cancel a cruise due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you have a choice to rebook right away, receive a credit to rebook at a later date, or receive a refund.

Can I bring a small pet?

Yes, well behaved pets are welcome!  Owners are fully responsible for any damage done by the pet.

Is there a restroom on board?

We don't have a restroom on board.  The River Walk, Shepard Park and Sandsprit all have public restrooms nearby, which you are able to use prior to departure.

We want music - can we bring our own?

We have a Bluetooth stereo system and a few cool playlists.  If you'd rather bring your own playlist, feel free!  We'll cruise to your tunes!

What's the difference between a pontoon boat and a regular boat?

Our pontoon is actually a tritoon - 3 pontoons.  Pontoon boats handle waves much more gently than vee hulls and are great for cruising. Instead of a jarring motion moving through a wave trough, pontoons gently glide.  Pontoons can run in as little as 18 inches of water, so they can travel in shallow areas a vee hull would not be able to reach.  Our pontoon is seriously comfy!
